The Natural Energy Company was founded nearly 20 years ago by husband-and-wife team Richard and Jenny, with one clear mission: to make renewable energy simple, effective, and accessible for households and businesses across Scotland.

What started as a small, family-run business has grown into one of the East Coast’s most trusted renewable specialists, with their son David now playing a key role as a director, helping lead innovation and customer care. Supported by our fantastic team of energy experts, we’ve delivered thousands of installations across Fife, Dundee, Perth & Kinross, Angus, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and beyond. From solar panels and heat pumps to next-generation battery storage, every project is guided by the same principles of quality, honesty, and long-term value.

As a company we don’t just install renewable systems, we live by them. Our head office is a near Net Zero building, powered by the same solar, battery storage, and heat pump technology we offer our customers. Directors Richard, Jenny and David’s own homes run on renewables too, reflecting our philosophy of practicing what we preach.

And of course, no story about our team would be complete without Ralphie, our beloved show cocker spaniel and “Head of Barketing.” Ralphie is always pawsitive about renewables. His personal mission?
