What can you reasonably expect from your solar system?  

Even in Scotland, the Sun provides large amounts of free energy.
The available energy from the Sun varies according to the seasons, consequently, the solar hot water system should meet the hot water needs as shown below:

  • Winter 5% to 20%

  • Spring 30%-50%

  • Summer 70% to 80%

The performance of a solar hot water heating system depends on the type of panels installed. As independent resellers and installers of solar hot water systems we are able to offer the advice on a system which best suits your property and your needs.

How long will the installation take?

Usually no more than 2 days.

What temperature can be expected from the solar panel?

This depends on how intense the sun shine is on any given day, not on the outside air temperature. During the spring and summer, 60-70 degrees centigrade is not unusual. A hot water cylinder thermostat is usually set to 60 degrees centigrade.
