The Altherma packaged heat pump unit is a highly versatile system designed to provide useful heating or cooling. The heat pump is an air to water system that provides unlimited use options.
The example installation above illustrates the use of the heat pump to provide useful heat to a Koi Carp pond. Careful temperature control is crucial to ensure good growth of Koi Carp. The Altherma packaged unit was installed to provide excellent water temperature control using a 38kW stainless steel heat exchanger. The large heat exchanger was selected to allow the Altherma to operate at low flow temperatures and maximise efficiency.
