Why Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV)?

Building regulations requires that a property has adequate ventilation. Ventilation of a dwelling is required to prevent the accumulation of moisture that could lead to the following:    Mould growth    Accumulation of pollutants    Poor air quality for breathing
Improved insulation, double glazing, draught excluders and tighter construction methods results in energy efficient improvements. The consequence of such measures is to reduce natural ventilation within a building. Household odours, damp, condensation, toxins can contribute to a property being unpleasant or unhealthy to live in.

The Solution 

The use of a Daikin HRV system will provide a solution to provide sufficient ventilation to the dwelling whilst recovering the valuable energy used to heat the dwelling in the first place.

What is HRV?

The Daikin HRV system is a highly efficient heat exchanger.  Up to 80% of the energy in the air of the dwelling (both sensible-effecting the air temperature and latent energy- effecting the air humidity) is exchanged with outside fresh air.

The valuable energy used to heat the dwelling is recovered and distributed around the property to provide a comfortable well ventilated dwelling.

How is HRV installed?

	HRV is very easy to install. Using our push fit insulated ducting the HRV system can be installed into new builds or existing dwellings. Typically, a 2-3 bedroom house can be installed in one day.
